Having a glossy satin like hair is every woman’s dream. They go allbeautifulhair out for that hair of their dreams. It’s alright with their dreams. But those dreams cannot be realized if the hair is not given its due. In tune with the times, to keep pace with the ever changing styles and trends, women frequently change their look of the hair.

These frequent changes have a major role in damaging the hair. In addition to this women use gadgets like hair dryers and curlers, not knowing the fact dryers and curlers have a far reaching effects leading to limp, dry and brittle hair over time. The fundamental thing to know is not to subject the hair to the heat of dryers. Hair should be allowed to dry naturally. If the hair is long, clip or tie it into a loose bun. Natural drying helps retaining the hair’s waviness and gloss. Please remember that hair will be week in wet condition.

Which is why hair should not be rubbed vigorously with a towel when it is wet. Rubbing the hair in wet condition leads to brittle hair and eventually the hair breaks. Oily haired women should not wash their hair frequently. Before you get ready for washing the hair, see that the tangles in the hair are to be removed by combing Care should be taken to use a ph balanced shampoo to wash the hair. Pour a small amount of shampoo into your palms, rub your palms and apply it to the scalp. Not to the hair endings Use gentle strokes with your finger tips.

After the ritual of hair wash as described above, you have to take care of the dandruff , a common embarrassing hair problem. We are not aware of the fact that human skin sheds dead skin cells. This phenomenon occurs every day and new set of skin cells replace the old dead skin cells every 28days. The birth place for dandruff is our scalp. A fungus known as malassezia fungus lives on the scalp. The staple food of the fungus is the oil produced by the hair follicles. This fungus is responsible for the irritation of the scalp. This irritation causes shedding of the dead skin cells much before they are scheduled to  fall. The dead skin cells that were shed along with the oils produced by the hair follicles will form as dandruff. Using an anti dandruff shampoo will help. A mixture consisting of 1 part of vinegar with 3 parts of water, if rubbed in to the scalp, kept overnight and washed off will greatly help.

For those who want to color their hair, it should be remembered to start with a subtle color of their choice. Using semi permanent colors will help in changing the colors in case one doesn’t like the shade. Still better to go to a trained hair stylist and get the advantage of their knowledge in dyeing the hair to your satisfaction.
